Guys,

during our meeting with the lobbyists in Washington D.C. one thing stood clear. We have to get our employers in the big picture and we need to meet the lawmakers. For this we are going to start this effort �Meet the lawmakers�. The material and corresponding will eventually come from the Lobbying firm. But in the mean time we need to build the team. You can file H1-B extension based on your approved i-140 you should receive another 3 yrs extension i did the same.

Hi,

One of my friends lost his Petition papers. His H1-B visa is about to expire and he wants to file for an extension. Currently he is in India and was planning to travel to US this week, when he lost his petition papers.

Will it be possible for him to travel to US without his Petition papers and apply for a duplicate / extension?

Please let me know any help line number where he can call to clarify his doubts.

Hi:

I received RFE (employment verification letter) from USCIS, texas center two years ago. I was still employed by the company who filed my GC application at that time. So the company replied and my case status was updated. But my PD was not current, so my case is still pending until now.

I lost job recently, if my PD became current in early 2010, will USCIS EVL me again?

I know no one can predict how USCIS works. I just want to check if anyone had experience that was checked employment status twice?

Also in NC, the DMV rules are changes to issue DL untill the Visa Stamp validity in PP, This will be an issue, if you extended your H1, but no valid visa in PP. Would recommend getting this done via internet.

I have been reading so many thread on filing but I haven't heard anything on what to do, look for after we file the 485 paper work

Can somebody provide the normal steps and what to expect after 485 gets filed. Is there a number you get, is there something you check online, what to expect in mail, what to check with the attorney, what is Finger printing, when to expect EAD, Travel Parole.. Do we need to call a hotline, I keep hearing Infopass. What is the final thing like do they stamp in the passport and we assume we have the GC? All I know is GC is not green:)

You may as well ask uscis to ask for the remainder of the H1B period provided there is an employer who is willing to process your H1B. Remember, you will have to lose your current I485 processing and start all the way from scratch though you can recapture the priority date with the new GC process.

my h1 stamping expires on 30th sept
extension has been applied 2 months back.
should parents go for stamping or should i postpone it till i get extension approved.9date is 2nd week of august).

I believe NameCheck must have been initiated. As far as processing 485 is concerned, does the PD have to be current?

I am trying to figure out what is the tentative schedule for the "magical" GC to appear in my mailbox :) ?

PD needs to be current for approval. Assuming you are from CHina/India, it could be a long wait dude...

Hi,
My wife got her H1B in Oct 2008. But could not work until date.
We want to get her H1B transferred back to H4. There are NO pay stubs for her.

I am on H1B with job. And I have my pay stubs.

Will there be any problem in her H1B to H4 transfer without her pay stubs ?
